As you may be aware, Kalyan-Dombivliis one of the 98 cities shortlisted by the Central Government to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission. With the help of its citizens, the city is currently preparing smart city proposal to compete in nation-wide smart city challenge.However, the city requires a logo which will be reflective of the characteristics of the city along with its ‘Smart City’ aspirations.
The city is hereby inviting the creative minds of Kalyan-Dombivli to participate in alogo designing competition to create a logo for ‘Kalyan Dombivli’ to represent the city on the national platform
Prize for winners
The creators of the top three logos as decided by a panel of judges will win a monetary reward –
1st Position– Rs.25,000/-
2nd Position – Rs.15,000/-
3rd Position – Rs.10,000/-
The winner shall be chosen on the basis of adoptability and innovation of the logo design. The decision of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation for selecting the winner shall be treated as final.
Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation reserves the rights to use the winning logo as the official logo to represent ‘Smart City Kalyan-Dombivli’.
Terms and Conditions
1. All the entries are required to be submitted through https://mygov.in
2. A description of the logo (max.100 words) should also be attached with each submission
3. Minimum Size of Logo shall be 4” X 4” (4 inches X 4 inches)
4. Last date for submission of entries is 30th November, 2015
5. Logo shall not use any material (Photograph, icon, symbol, image etc.) that is copyright protected
6. The image of the logo should be atleast of 300 dpi
7. Logo designs should be submitted in .jpg or .pdf formats only

Upper part of Logo designates Home feelings and HOUSE-BUILDINGS 2)Overall Logo signifies railway platform board. 3) Lower part Logo 4 tracks symbolize 4 essential setups like water supply, electricity supply, waste management & clean environment. 4) Red Necktie stands for status and personality and to represent a diamond, Jewel like Smart City.

Design combines of letters K, D & Kings Crown. Crown represents The Kings #KalyanDombivli prosperity, growth/progress. He is always connected to people. 3 corners pointing upwards in 3 different directions indicates overall progress & modern infrastructure.
Green is for faith, fertility & prosperity. Its a festive & stabilizing color which represents life & happiness. Blue is peaceful & clean. It represents sky and ocean & most truth of the universe. Orange is courage & selflessness of people.
